Patricia Santistevan Matthews, Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Special Education, appointed member of the Professional Advisory Board of the Learning Disabilities Association of America.

Nalini Nadkarni, Director, Center for Science and Math Education and Professor Department of Biology, is the recipient the "Public Engagement Science Award" from the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Hugo Rossi, Associate Director, Center for Science and Math Education and Professor Emeritus, Department of Mathematics, is the recipient of the Utah Governor's Science Medal for Outstanding Achievements in Math and Science Education.

Louisa Stark, Clinical Professor, Urban Institute for Teacher Education and Director, Genetic Science Learning Center, received the Honorary Membership Award from the National Association of Biology Teachers (the NABT's highest honor).
