College Says Farewell to the East-West Wing of Milton Bennion Hall
The East-West Wing of Milton Bennion Hall, a major part of the lives of faculty, staff and students in the College of Education for 50 years, was taken down this past January in preparation for the expansion of new College space in the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts and Education Complex. The new Sorenson Complex is scheduled for completion and occupancy in November 2013. During construction of the Sorenson Complex, on-campus College of Education faculty and staff will be located in the north-south wing of MBH, Carlson Hall, and the Annex. While the location of the east-west wing of MBH will soon become much needed green space on campus, the MBH north-south wing will continue to play a major role for the College of Education following completion of the Sorenson Complex. MBH will house university classrooms, faculty research and outreach initiatives, graduate students, learning and science laboratories, an assessment and outreach clinic, and technology support services.
